Q1 2015 Internet Marketing Journey Update

The third month of the year has passed. That was fast! It feels like I started creating the PPV Profit System just last week.

I’ve done many things since the start of this year. Now it’s time to write some updates. In this post, I’ll share my journey and what I did in the first quarter of this year.

Hit The New Record From PPV

One of my Internet marketing goals for 2015 is to reach $3,000 a day in profit from PPV traffic. I’m not there yet, but I’ve already hit my highest earnings ever. January and February were good months for me. I found many good offers and made lots of bucks from them. I keep scaling up my campaigns, and finally I hit the new record.

But it’s not stable yet. Many profitable offers went away in March, so my income fluctuated. Some of my winning campaigns died and caused my overall income to decrease. I’m okay with this, because it’s part of the game in this business.

Many of my readers have been asking me whether PPV is still alive. I tell them: YES! It has been my main source of income. So why do you guys think it has died? The method might not see as much traffic as mobile, but if you’re looking for $200-300 a day in profit, it’s still possible to get using PPV.

During past few weeks, I rarely touched my campaigns because my main focus was on developing the PPV Profit System. Although my earnings fluctuated, my campaigns still generated profit. Now that my PPV training course is up and running, I’ll go back and scale up my campaigns.

My next plan is to focus on the most profitable campaigns. I think they can generate more if I send more traffic to them. Over the past few weeks, I’ve found many new interesting PPV traffic sources but haven’t had a chance to try them yet. I’ll send traffic from some of them and to check the quality of the sources.

I’ll create more campaigns in non-English countries, too. After spying on many of my competitors, I’ve discovered that many of them generate bucks from international offers.

I’ll catch up with them soon!

Unofficially Released: The First PPV Training Course

Last week, I unveiled my new PPV training course. It’s been on my to-do-list since last year, but I finally finished it last week. This is the first time I’ve created a video training course. I did it because many people have been asking me to teach them to make money from PPV. I thought I wasn’t ready to do this yet. English is not my first language, so it’s difficult for me to do this. Anyhow, many people still send me the same questions about PPV, so I decided to create the video course.

These are the steps I took to create the course. I think it’s useful for all of you who want to create a video course, but whose native language is not English.

  1. Outlining the course. First thing I did was to write the outline and think about the stuff I would teach in the class. Since my course is about PPV, I listed all steps I take when I create my PPV campaigns and make them profitable. Workflowy was the tool that helped me do this. It’s an online outlining tool. Try it – it’s free.
  2. Make the presentation slides. The second thing is to prepare the Keynotes. As an Apple user, I use Keynote to create my slides.
  3. Write the script. I wrote everything that I wanted to explain in every slide.
  4. Hire a proofreader. When my transcription is ready, I’ll hire a proofreader to edit it. I’m not an English native speaker, so I need to make sure that my sentences are grammatically correct. Otherwise, my students might not understand what I tell them.
  5. Hire a person to do the voiceover. If you’re a native speaker, you can skip this step because you can do it yourself. If you’re not, I recommend you do this. Don’t try to read it by yourself. If your accent is not good enough, people won’t understand what you’re saying. So I found a person to do this for me. I showed it to my friend who speaks English, and he said it was great. You can find many people who will do this for you on Fiverr. The rates differ, but most sellers will do 100-200 voiceover words for $5.
  6. Record the video and combine it with the voiceover. The next thing to do is to record the video and combine it with the sound you got from the voiceover person. If it’s video shows the presentation slides only, it’s not difficult to combine the audio and video. But it’s difficult if it’s the demo video. I have many videos teaching people to set up campaigns in Prosper202 and CPVLab. They took lots of time to add sound and make it smooth. For this step, I used Camtasia to get this done.
  7. Set up the video in the membership site platform. I asked my mentor to recommend a service for this and he suggested Kajabi. It found it a bit difficult to use when I started. But after a while, it wasn’t that difficult. It’s easy to set up a membership site using this system. Uploading video and organizing content is also easy. What I don’t like is that it’s not fully flexible. For example, if I want to integrate it with Clickbank, I can’t use the external thank- you page. I have to host my thank-you page with Kajabi. Also, I don’t think their text editor and designing tool for the sale page is so great, either. Luckily, it’s not necessary to host your main sales page on Kajabi.
  8. Set up the sale page. I use WordPress and ThriveThemes to create the sale page. With ThriveThemes, I can design the page easily. They provide many beautiful elements for you. You just drag and drop the elements you want onto the page and edit the content.
  9. Integrate the sale page and Kajabi with Clickbank. I host my product in Clickbank because it’s the first affiliate network in the world. Their approval process is very strict. They won’t allow scam products in their marketplace. Their payment system is also good. There are many affiliate marketers in Clickbank, too. My product looks good when it’s advertised with this company.
  10. Now it’s ready!

These are the steps I took to create my PPV training course. I’ve never done this before, and it was quite difficult for me when I started. If you want to create yours, feel free to follow my steps. I’ve explained everything you need to do, so you don’t need to waste time searching how to do it on the Internet.

The result of the first launch was pretty good. I got a few sales from my subscribers. I already got some feedback from my students as well. For example:

Although I was tired after creating this course and lost time to manage my campaigns, after seeing this comment from my student, I was very happy. I’m glad many of them have found value in what I did.

Life Updates

In this section, I’ll share some updates about my life that are unrelated to business.

Already Visited Two Countries This Year

I’ve already traveled to Taiwan and Singapore this year. The first trip was for relaxation and to meet friends. The second one was to shoot photos for time-lapse videos to sell on stock photo sites.

I’m always happy when I travel. I think it’s necessary, especially when you work at home. When I’m in work mode I rarely meet my friends or visit attractions near my city. It’s good to take time to refresh.

For my next trip, in June, I’ll go to Hokkaido.

Read More Books

This year, I plan to read one book a week, but I haven’t managed to do this yet. Some books are very thick and need more time to understand. So I’ve changed my plan. I’ll read for 30 minutes every day.

Reading books is very important. It can help you learn things. For example, I discovered that I can increase my productivity and do less work by reading the books The Power of LESS and Essentialism. From them I learned that If you do the same thing every day, it’s difficult to get better results. So, keep improving yourself.

These are seven books I’ve read so far this year:

  1. The Power of LESS – Leo Babauyta
  2. 90% how to tell – Keiichi Sasaki
  3. Essentialism – Greg McKeown
  4. Hatching Twitter – Nick Bilton
  5. David & Goliath – Malcolm Gladwell
  6. One Click: Jeff Bezos and the Rise of Amazon.com – Richard L. Brandt
  7. App Empire – Chad Mureta

Go to the Gym Regularly

Although I’m a member of a fitness club, I’ve rarely exercised in the past few months. When I travel, I find I can’t walk and carry my camera’s backpack for a long time. I need to build strength, otherwise I might not be able to travel when I’m old.

Also, there is a new gym located near my home, so it’s easy for me to visit it. Last week, I went to the gym on four different days and spent one hour there each time (30 minutes for running, another 20 minutes for weight training, and 10 minutes to change and shower). It’s a good start.

These is everything I’ve been up to in the past three months. I think I’m on the right track to reach my goals this year. Hopefully I can do more in the next quarter.

Coming Up

In the next quarter, I’ll keep scaling up my PPV campaigns and taking care of my students in the PPV Profit system. Also, I’ll start my mobile app business again. This is one of my New Year’s goals, but I haven’t started on it yet. I think I can do it this quarter. This can be another decent income stream should some of my PPV campaigns slow down or stop.

Thanks for spending your valuable time reading my blog! 🙂

Hi B,

Nice to see my comment there :)! I really hope your program will take off and get more pp to benefit from it.

I just wanted to drop a quick line on reading. This might help many and I’m glad u mentioned it.

This time last year I made a big mentality change and regarding books, I started reading 1/week, keeping count and everything. After one year, almost 50 books read and some experience on my practice I have found 2 important things:

1. Books are different in length and level of understanding.
2. Once u set a goal to read 1book/week u might hurry or spend too much time trying to achieve your goal that u start to either take time from other tasks, don’t make the most out of your read or both.

My decision this year was similar to yours, meaning that I’ve decided to go for 1h/day and just stop. I might read 10pages or 50, it doesn’t matter. Books vary in many aspects so you just have do adapt without compromising your daily tasks.

    Bank says April 6, 2015

Yes. I agree with you. Different books have different levels of understanding. So we should focus on what we get from the it not the number of books.

But, I can concentrate on reading the book just 30 minutes. I can’t read it for an hour like you do lol

    Thanks for coming again 🙂

Hi Bank,
I wonder about creating landing page for successful offer in order to scale up. Lets say i have 15 success offer and i want scale up by creating landing page, means do i need to have 15 domains and hosting for each landing page?

    Bank says April 6, 2015

Nope. You can host all landers in the same domain name.

Titus says April 6, 2015

Hi Bank,
Im in the loop for your PPV profit system.
I find the pace too slow as im required to wait for 1 wk before the other lessons.
I had been into PPV already.
Could you give us a choice regarding to the pace of the videos?

    Bank says April 6, 2015

Sorry I won’t do that. I already stated that in the sale page.

Can I give you $x,xxx to get ALL the content now?
No. Due to the information overload, I don’t recommend all of the content at once, even for experienced affiliates.

Hi Bank,
I recently bought your PPV ebook on gaming. Does the PPV profit system differ? Or is it the same info.

    Bank says April 7, 2015

Thanks for purchasing my product. The PPV Profit System is different than PPV Strategy because I’ll add more detail and teach in the video format.

r2007 says April 8, 2015

Hi Bank I just purchased the eBook Order # P946VEDP good stuff in there thanks for the info.

I have a few questions, do I need a private host with direct linking to the offer? Do I need a private host at all?

With this eBook will it help me avoid some common mistakes that beginners make? Do I stand a better chance of not losing as much money with the help of your book?

I am having problems contacting my affiliate managers what do you suggest?

I really appreciate your feedback

    Bank says April 9, 2015

Thank you for purchasing my product. I’m glad you got some good stuff 🙂

If you mean Virtual Private Server (VPS), YES, we have to use it. Because the amount of PPV traffic per minute is very high, the shared hosting cannot handle it.

With that eBook, you’ll know all PPV strategies that I will use to make cash this year. You can follow it immediately if you already know the basic PPV concept. If you haven’t done PPV yet, I recommend you to try PPV Profit System. I teach every step you need to run the PPV campaign in this program.

What kind of a problem you found when contacting your affiliate manager?

    Hope this help 🙂
